K2 Beaded Bracelet

K2 Stone is found in colluvial sediments deposited near its base, a mix of fine, white Granite composed of Feldspar minerals and flecks of Biotite infused with orbs of bright blue Azurite, two minerals rarely found together in one location. While the vivid spots appear “splashed” onto the surface of the rock, they are actually spherical concentrations of Azurite that have penetrated and “dyed” the feldspar grains as a secondary material formed after all other minerals in the granite solidified from the initial melt. Some specimens may also have small areas stained green with Malachite. K2 Stone has also been called K2 Jasper, K2 Granite, “Raindrop Azurite,” and Ketonite.

Azurite and Granite have been revered since ancient times as sacred and magical stones, important in their respective cultures as symbols of status and as conduits to the mystical and beyond. Granite is imbued with earth energy, a “guardian stone” of protection, physical strength, and increase.
